FAQs About Our Company & Services

Is Baishixing a manufacturer or a trading company?

We are a manufacturer with two production facilities. One is located in Chengdu and focuses on amino acid derivatives, while the other is in Lanzhou, equipped with CGMP-compliant lines for protected amino acids and peptides.

How can I place an order?

Start by contacting our sales team with your product requirements. Once your needs are confirmed, we will provide a solution and issue a Proforma Invoice. Both parties will then proceed with contract confirmation before production and shipment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We primarily accept T/T (telegraphic transfer) in advance. Payment terms may vary depending on the order amount, contract conditions, and customer status.

What are the available shipping options?

We can arrange delivery by air, sea, train, or multimodal transport depending on your destination and timeline.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on the shipping method and destination. For air freight, delivery typically takes 3–7 days. Sea freight may range from 15 to 60 days depending on the region.

What support do you offer before and after sales?

  • Pre-sale service is available Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00 (China time).
  • After-sales support is available 24/7. All inquiries are answered within 2 hours during working hours, and within 12 hours outside of office hours.

FAQs About Our Products & Applications

What are protected amino acids?

Protected amino acids are chemically modified to temporarily block reactive functional groups (such as the amino, carboxyl, or side chain groups). This allows controlled reactions during synthesis, especially in peptide assembly, by preventing unwanted side reactions and ensuring the structural integrity of each amino acid.

What role do protected amino acids play in peptide synthesis?

Protected amino acids are one of the key raw materials used in peptide synthesis. Peptides are chains made of multiple amino acids linked by peptide bonds. To ensure that these amino acids connect in the correct sequence and structure, protection groups are added to block reactive sites that could interfere with the reaction. This prevents unwanted side reactions and allows for precise synthesis of peptides with specific structures and functions. While other components like coupling agents, solvents, and catalysts are also important in the peptide synthesis process, protected amino acids form the fundamental building blocks required to successfully produce the final compound.

What are the main challenges of large-scale peptide synthesis using specialty amino acids?

Some of the key challenges include low reaction efficiency, difficulty in purification, high production cost, and maintaining product consistency. Optimizing conditions for each amino acid and improving process scalability are critical for industrial peptide production.

What is the role of intermediates in pharmaceutical development?

Pharmaceutical intermediates are used during the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). They are not biologically active themselves but are crucial for constructing the chemical structure of the final drug through controlled, multi-step reactions.
